In 1865, master confectioner Peter Reber opened the first Reber confectionery café in Munich. He soon made a name for himself with his home-made delicacies and his café became a popular meeting place for Munich residents.  In 1938, the Reber family moved their parent company to the center of Bad Reichenhall, the location of today's company headquarters. A lot has changed since it was founded, but the company has been family-owned for more than 5 generations, the traditional recipes are still carefully guarded and the café culture is still lovingly celebrated.
